The Arm toolchain for OS X is based on the latest uClinux toolchain from uclinux.org and includes the STL C++ port.

Where can I get it?

The Arm toolchain comes as an easy to install package for all G3/G4/G5 Macintosh computers running Mac OS X 10.1.X and above.

It is available as a convenient installer package on the download page.

What else do I need?

This depends on your target hardware and what methods of software downloads it allows. Many platforms are already equipped with a bootloader capable to retreive the software via serial or ethernet port.

For connecting a terminal to your hardware you will most probably need an USB-Serial converter and a terminal application since most Macintosh computers now don't have serial ports.

Options

If your target hardware has no bootloader or no software at all you might need a USB-programmer to download your software via JTAG.

See the "USB" section of this website for an explanation what is available at the moment for Mac OSX.
